DragonWave-X Horizon Installer Certification Course

  • Course is targeted at microwave radio installers, supervisors or product managers who intend to install DragonWave-X Horizon microwave equipment. This is a 2 day course for a single Horizon product with 1 day added for each additional product requested.  
  • Maximum capacity of 10 students.
  • Prerequisites:
    • Working knowledge of IP networking and RF
  • Course content:
    • Addresses the unique aspects of DragonWave-X equipment and the most common issues faced by installers, to increase speed and efficiency in performing installations.
    • Provides a solid understanding of DragonWave-X systems and the interfaces used to configure them
    • Installation and alignment of DragonWave-X equipment, including  hands-on alignment training
  • Includes hands-on component, and a knowledge test. Attendees who successfully complete the course will earn “DragonWave-X Certified Installer” certification.

 

DragonWave-X Horizon Advanced Troubleshooting Course

  • Course targeted at 2nd level technical staff responsible for network operation and management, and those responsible to troubleshooting DragonWave-X Horizon microwave networks and resolving network issues. This is a 2 day course for a single Horizon product with 1 day added for each additional product requested.    
  • Maximum capacity of 10 students.
  • Prerequisites:
    • Working knowledge of IP networking and strong foundation in RF
    • Solid understanding of DragonWave-X systems and the interfaces used to configure them
    • Previous extensive installation and alignment experience with DragonWave-X equipment or previous experience with management, monitoring and troubleshooting of DragonWave-X equipment
    • Basic troubleshooting techniques and diagnostic utilities
  • Course content:
    • Troubleshooting approaches for DragonWave-X Horizon equipment
    • Identification and isolation of problem area:  RF, Interference, Ethernet, and issues with basic and advanced feature operation
    • Introduction & discussion on advanced feature groups (ATPC, QoS, etc.)
    • Use of troubleshooting tools including DragonWave-X Merlin Utilities

  • Includes hands-on component. Attendees who successfully complete the course will earn a certificate of completion.
